Sexual assault in Slough

Detectives investigating a sexual assault in the Chalvey area of Slough are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

At about 1.30am on Saturday (10/10), a 19-year-old woman was walking in Keel Drive, Slough when she was approached by a man who entered into conversation with her. Shortly afterwards, he sexually assaulted her in a nearby wooded area.

The man is believed to be white and in his early twenties.

The woman was left distressed but did not sustain any serious physical injury.

SloughDet Sgt Paul Morgan, investigating the incident, said: “I’d like to reassure our community that this sort of incident is rare and thankfully the woman’s injuries are not serious. However, we are treating the incident very seriously and are currently following a number of lines of enquiry. We ask people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police as soon as possible.

“We will be stepping up our patrols in the area in a bid to reassure local residents and get more information from the public. Anyone with any information about the assault, no matter how small it may appear on the surface, should contact Slough CID on 0845 8 505 505 as soon as possible.”
