Parents who applied for a Slough secondary school place for September 2009 will know the outcome this week.
Slough Borough Council are posting letters today, March 2, 2009, to parents who completed an application form and those that applied online will receive an email, confirming their child’s place.
The admissions process has been fully co-ordinated by the Slough council’s admissions team. The team has worked closely with schools and neighbouring authorities to ensure all pupils will be offered a place and that as many as possible are placed at one of their preferred schools.
There will, however, be some Slough residents who cannot be offered a place at any of their preferred schools and these pupils will be offered places at the nearest school with vacancies. This includes schools in other boroughs.
Each case has been looked at individually to reduce as far as possible any problems travelling to and from school.
