Run a mile for Slough Sports Relief

Sport Relief is back and it’s coming to Slough.

Upton Court Park is set to host one of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles on Sunday 21st March and local Slough people are needed to show their support by entering now.

Slough Residents can run one, three or six miles and all sponsorship will go to help transform the lives of those in need in the UK and the world’s poorest countries.

The first race starts at 11am for the people wishing to run one mile, three-milers will start at 11.30am and the people wishing to run six miles will start at 1pm.

Sports Relief was launched in 2002 and since then more than 1.25 million people have raised more than £75 million.

Steve Wicks, active Slough manager for Slough Borough Council, said: “We want everyone to get involved in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief event in Upton Court Park on the 21 March.

“From teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock, there’s something for everyone on the big day whether you do one, three or six miles. Best of all, the money you raise by getting sponsored will be used to transform lives forever.”
