Robbery in Slough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Slough.

Shortly after 10pm on Friday (7/3), a 49-year-old woman was walking in Northampton Avenue, Slough when she was approached from behind, pushed over, and her handbag was stolen.

The woman sustained a black eye but did not require hospital treatment. Her handbag contained a mobile phone and some bank cards.

Jill Martindale, of the Slough Priority Crime Team, said: “Unfortunately the woman did not see who assaulted her and stole her handbag. Therefore, we urge anyone who did see anything suspicious in the area between 10pm and 11pm to contact us as soon as possible so that we can catch whoever is responsible.”
