Robbery at Slough jeweller’s shop

Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a jeweller’s shop in Slough on the morning of 23/3.

Some time between 11.30am and 11.40am, two men dressed as Royal Mail postmen went into Annus Jewellers in Upton Lea Parade, Wexham Road, near the junction with Kendal Drive, and asked the shopkeeper to sign for a special delivery.

One of the robbers then hit the shopkeeper on the head with an object, believed to be a handgun, knocking him unconscious. The shopkeeper was left bound and gagged in a back room while the robbers stole cash and jewellery from the premises.

Det Insp Steve Armstead of Slough CID said: “This incident took place in mid-morning at a very busy location, so it’s likely that somebody would have witnessed something. We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det Insp Armstead on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police or give your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
