Slough Borough Council would like to inform residents of the temporary closure of the High Street, between Windsor Road and Church Street from November 10 to 24.
The closure will allow for engineering contractors to carry out Slough pavement reconstruction as part of the Art at the Centre High Street enhancement scheme.
The Slough council would like to highlight that:
* Temporary bus stops will be available on Windsor Road
* The Church Street taxi rank will be unaffected.
* The nearest blue badge parking bays are outside MyCouncil or the existing blue badge parking at east end of the High Street
Roger Kirkham, project manager for Slough Borough Council, said: “It’s important to take this step in order to complete these essential works to the surface at the High Street. We apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused whilst these are underway.”
Cllr James Swindlehurst, commissioner for neighbourhoods and renewal, said: ”The road will be reopened as soon as possible and well in advance of the Christmas trading period.”
