Slough Borough Council’s West Wing arts centre will be holding an open forum on Tuesday, September 23 from 7.30pm, for residents to learn about events and ambitions for the centre.

Yasmin Gurreeboo, West Wing manager for Slough Borough Council, said: “When the West Wing opened three years ago it was the first dedicated arts venue in the town for more than 20 years.

“We’re celebrating our third anniversary this autumn with a packed programme of theatre, dance, music, comedy and workshops.

“To build on our success so far, we’re encouraging residents to share ideas and get what they want out of the West Wing. Involving the community is an integral part of what we do.”

Cllr Shafiq Chaudhry, commissioner for Slough community and leisure, said: “The open forum is a great way for residents to learn about the range of creative activities and events that take place at the West Wing.

“I hope many residents will attend the forum to ask questions and share ideas that could shape the future of the arts venue.”
