A Slough tenant who caused his neighbours undue stress with his anti-social behaviour has been evicted by People 1st (Slough).
Malkit Dhariwal, of Charter Close, Slough, was evicted after the council’s ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) responded to complaints from neighbours.
Mr Dhariwal was visited on August 19, 2009 after complaints were made about him throwing the contents of his Slough home out a window, persistently hoax calling the police and aggressively shouting at passers by and neighbours.
Ahreema Faruqui, anti-social behaviour manager for People 1st (Slough), said: “We’re committed to improving Slough and making it a great place to live, work and play, so the actions of tenants such as Mr Dhariwal will not be tolerated.
“His behaviour caused his neighbours considerable upset and stress. At least now, they can once again enjoy their homes.
“Any People 1st tenants experiencing anti-social behaviour should contact us and we will act to resolve the problem.”
Commissioner for Slough neighbourhoods and renewal, Cllr James Swindlehurst, added: “Well done to People 1st (Slough) for acting promptly to remove this nuisance tenant.
“No one should have to put up with inconsiderate behaviour, especially in their own homes and neighbourhoods.”
Since forming the anti-social behaviour team in 2006, People 1st (Slough) has evicted six nuisance occupants, received keys back from two sets of tenants and been granted 12 court injunctions.
Thames Valley Police assisted People 1st (Slough) in providing evidence against the tenant.
