Slough Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a bus passenger was robbed of his mobile phone in Slough on Friday (5/2).
The Slough victim, an 18-year-old man, boarded the number 58 bus at about 2.55pm. A short time later, an Asian man in his early twenties got on the bus and sat behind him. As the bus pulled into a bus stop outside the Royal Mail sorting office in Wellington Street at about 3.45pm, the Asian man snatched the 18-year-old’s mobile phone from his hand and tried to get off the bus.
A struggle ensued as the Slough victim tried to get his mobile phone back. Both men got off the bus and the altercation continued in the street, during which the offender threatened the 18-year-old before running off down Wexham Road in the direction of High Street. The victim was not injured.
The robber is about 6ft, has a thin, clean-shaven face and was wearing a grey hooded top. He boarded the Slough bus between Iver and Langley.
