The Mayor of Slough, Cllr Raja Zarait, has today on behalf of Slough Borough Council condemned the attacks on two hotels in Mumbai, India.
He said: “These attacks are mindless acts of terror and our thoughts are with all the innocent people caught up in this. Our condolences also go to the victims’ families and those who have been injured.
“These attacks, along with the Marriott Hotel attack in Pakistan in September, all set out to stop people going about their everyday lives and we support the British and Indian governments’ stance on the attacks.
“Slough and its communities have been working over the past 18 months to reject all forms of violence and will continue to promote good relations between all communities at every opportunity.”
