Local Slough artists will have an opportunity to sell their wares at a special art boot sale at the West Wing Arts Centre on Stoke Road, Slough, on Sunday 13th September from 10am to 3pm.
Art boot sale at the West Wing. The car boot with a twist will give local artists the chance to sell their handmade art and crafts directly to the public, as well as profiling the high quality of art work in Slough.
Organisers are hoping the event will attract a wide variety of art lovers, ranging from artists, jewellery makers and sculptors.
Organiser, Graham Steele, said: “This is a great opportunity for creative artists to sell and show off their work, as well as network with like minded people. It will also be a rare chance to buy good quality art work created by local people for future investment or as a unique birthday or Christmas present.”
Rebecca Cairns, community arts manager for Slough Borough Council, added: “It’s often very difficult for artists to find avenues to sell their work.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for artists and local people who can buy art, whether as a gift or for themselves. It’s also a great way to showcase the breadth of art and crafts being made here in Slough, which we are committed to.”
Stalls cost £15 and must be booked in advance. Deadline for Slough stall holders to book their spot is 5pm Friday 11th September.
Admission to the public is £1. In the event of bad weather, the stalls will be moved inside. To book a stall contact Graham Steel on 07985 359654, graham.steel3@btinternet.com.
