Food fun at Slough’s libraries

Slough’s libraries hosted fun food activities during February half-term, with a choice of pancake pandemonium and funky fruit sessions at Slough’s four community libraries.

Slough Children learnt about the history of Shrove Tuesday, made bookmarks and took part in a pretend pancake race at Slough and Cippenham libraries.

At Britwell and Langley libraries, children and adults took part in funky fruit sessions with popular chef Kevin Muhammad.

Antonia Gray, children’s librarian for Slough Borough Council, said: “The pancake and funky fruit sessions were a great way to get the whole family involved in fun activities during the half-term.”

Cllr Shafiq Chaudhry, commissioner for Slough community and leisure, said: “These interactive healthy food sessions are always a big hit with residents and it was great to see so many people join in the fun.”
