Death of Slough pupil

Slough Borough Council is aware that a pupil from a Slough School has died.

It is providing support to Slough pupils, parents and staff during this very tragic time. This is a very difficult time for the family and our thoughts are with them.

NHS Berkshire East sent out a statement saying ‘NHS Berkshie East can confirm that a young girl from east Berkshire died at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London, on 11 November. She had tested positive for H1N1 swine flu.

NHS Berkshire East extends its sympathies to the child’s family, friends, school and community at this time.

We are working with the Thames Valley Health Protection Unit and the relevant local authority to ensure the right support and advice is in place.’
