Come and meet your Slough Neighbourhood Action Group

Come and meet your Haymill, Slough Neighbourhood Action Group

Residents of Haymill are invited to attend an open forum at the Haymill Community Centre in Burnham Lane, Slough, on Tuesday 24 June.

The public meeting, which starts at 7pm, is a chance for people to meet members of their Slough Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG), who are working to improve the quality of life in Haymill.

Martin Carter, chairman of the Haymill NAG, said: “We are a new, action-oriented team working for the betterment of the community. Our members include residents and representatives of the police, Slough Borough Council and People 1st Housing.

“We are looking for more volunteers to join us. We would like more input from younger members of the community, particularly teenagers, and also more input from Haymill residents south of the railway (e.g. Goldsworthy Way).

“Anyone who would like to learn more about the NAG is welcome to call me on 07856 723037, or visit our community website: www.haymill.info, where I will be adding updates about the group’s progress.”

Sgt Tony Welch, Haymill neighbourhood sergeant, said: “The Haymill NAG is not a talking shop, but a working group that is taking practical actions to bring about the improvements that have been identified by residents as their priorities.

“The NAG chair, Martin Carter, is driving the process forward with great commitment and enthusiasm. I hope as many people as possible will come to the open forum to find out how the NAG is making Haymill a better place to live.”

Come and meet your Britwell, Slough Neighbourhood Action Group

Residents in the Britwell area of Slough are invited to meet their Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) at two open forums in June.

Britwell’s Neighbourhood Sergeant, Tony Welch, said: “To enable as many people as possible to attend, we have arranged two public meetings.

“One is at 7pm on Wednesday 25 June at the Britwell Community Centre, Long Furlong Drive. The second meeting is at 11am on Saturday 28 June at the shopping parade in Wentworth Avenue.

“The NAG is a group working to make Britwell a better place to live. Its members include residents and representatives of the police, People 1st Housing and Slough Borough Council.

“We are looking for volunteers from the community who have energy and are prepared to give some time to join our group in order to make an even bigger difference. Everyone is welcome, especially the younger members of our community.

“I hope as many people as possible will come along to one or other of the open meetings and find out more about us.”
