Slough Borough Council would like to appoint a catering contractor for the provision of food services at one of its offices.
Come and help feed the workforce.The service will be provided by the contractor at zero subsidy, during the hours of 10.30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. The company will not be paid for its service, but will keep the profits of any sales.
All food must be prepared at the company’s main site, as there is no cooking or canteen facilities at the Slough council building.
The food should consist of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and hot food, as well as confectionary such as crisps, drinks (no alcoholic beverages), cakes, muffins and pastries.
A staff lounge will be provided for the set up and service, along with a fridge, microwave and a basic storage facility. Companies can also bring their own equipment, subject to space availability.
The supplier will also need to provide a food trolley service.
There are more than 300 staff based at the site, however, the Slough council will consider expanding the service across to the other sites where there is more than 700 staff based.
The contract will be for three years and may be extended for two further one-year periods at the discretion of the council.
