Slough, Berkshire ~ Physiotherapists
Personal Individual Effective treatment, to relieve pain and restore normal function
About us:
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1970, followed by 18 years of experience in the NHS, treating Medical, Surgical,Orthopaedics & Out patients. I was also senior physiotherapist in-charge of Out patients in the NHS for 5 years, treating back, neck, joint and sports injuries, arthritic problems and whiplash injuries. I have also worked for the Swedish Health Service for a short period of time.
I continued my studies in Acupuncture, leading to Member of The British Acupuncture Council, then in Orthopaedic Medicine, lead by The Cyriax Organisation. I also gained my advanced certificate in Sports Physiotherapy, after which I did Osteopathy and became a registered Osteopath in 1998.Then I went on to do Classical Osteopathy, followed by a course in Intra Muscular Stimulation (for chronic pain relief).
The knowledge I gained in these fields enables me to treat Neuro Musculo Skeletal problems speedily and effectively.
Over the past 16 years, I have been working privately. During this period I have also worked as physiotherapist in industrial, occupational Health in Slough, Berkshire.
I personally feel it is vital to assess and treat the whole person and not just the condition. Injury, pain and disability, whether it is sporting, commercial or domestic is very distressing and time consuming. This should be treated immediately and professionally, thus accelerating the healing process. By doing so, the risk of poor healing and a chronic condition developing is reduced to a minimum. Returning to full function is far quicker. The suffering and financial costs saved by speedy action is incalculable.
