About us:

Nurturing Families is a Back to Basics Initiative for child and parent well being. It combines the wisdom of tradition and modern science – integrating the best of both to help families raise healthy happy children in modern times. Our approach is strength based, not deficit focussed – as we believe in the worth and potential of each human being. We welcome and mainstream babies, children and parents with all range of abilities. Services available to members of the public and organisations.

The well being of both child and parent is inter-linked. To support families in their nurturing role towards children, families too need nurturing support from the community and institutions. We recognize this link in the design and delivery of our services.

We aim to help parents discover and build on the joys of parenting through knowledge, attitudes and skills that Promote positive parenting.

We are aware that sometimes despite knowing the value of positive parenting, difficult circumstances, and challenges in the environment or perhaps lack of skills can come in the way. We believe it is normal to learn in order to enrich our parenting role.

We help parents to walk the talk, through parent coaching.

We value parents as parents and also recognize their needs and aspirations. We therefore offer life coaching. This service is also open to young adults and adults.

No matter what the starting point is, there is scope to move beyond. That in essence is our belief in nurturance of human potential to help raise healthy happy children.
