Caravan fire in Slough

Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Victoria Road, Slough.

Slough Officers were called to the scene by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service at 11.26pm yesterday (14/6). On attending a caravan fire they had found the body of man, thought to be in his forties, inside.

Police and the fire service are now working to establish the cause of the fire, the identity of the dead man and the circumstances of his death. A cordon has been placed around the scene whilst police scenes of crime officers and fire investigation staff carry out their investigations. A Post Mortem time and date has yet to be set.

Police investigating the death of a man in a caravan fire in Slough at the weekend are satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are continuing their efforts to identify the man and contact his next of kin.

The incident is now being dealt with by the coroner. Any enquiries about the man’s identity should be directed to the coroner’s officer on 0845 8 505 505.
