Slough Britwell Library will be celebrating the second birthday of its Teenage Reading Group (TRG) with a party on Tuesday, March 10.
Staff at the Slough library will be hosting a special birthday party from 5.30pm, and are encouraging anyone who has not yet visited their local reading group to head down for a fun afternoon.
Open to young people aged 12 to 16 years, the group meets once a month for activities including photography, crafts, quizzes, book chat and general fun and socialising.
Gaby Koenig, librarian for teenagers and young people at Slough Borough Council, said: “Getting this far is a great achievement for the young people who enjoy our sessions.
“We’ve had an immensely successful second year and hope to run many more still.”
Cllr Shafiq Chaudhry, commissioner for Slough community and leisure, said: “Staff at the library are always willing to welcome new members to join in the fun, so why not pop along and make some new friends with shared interests.”
The sessions run at Britwell Library every second Tuesday of the month, excluding holidays.
