Get to Grammar School!
The Success Centre is offering an intensive 11 plus course to help your child achieve a grammar school place. The course involves:

Tuition by qualified grammar school teachers Individual study for 20 hours Progress monitoring - regular assessment Exam Practice past papers and workbooks Hints, tips and revision of all techniques We will cover the whole syllabus Our aim is to get your child to believe in their own ability. We want to motivate and build confidence in our Slough students. Nerves can cause intelligent pupils to stumble, but as pupils gain exam experience and learn what will be expected of them they will relax and their confidence will grow.

At The Success Centre we can offer you tuition for a wide range of subjects. We offer intensive courses for Maths, Science, Computing and ICT.
Ee cover all the modern syllabuses, and will provide you with excellent exam preparation. Many of our experienced tutors have been examiners, and so can provide insight and tips on exam techniques.

About us:

Slough museum is run by a friendly team of paid staff, volunteers and Trustees, all of whom are committed to preserving the fascinating history of Slough and its people. They are here to help you explore your own past within this ever-developing town and ensure that visitors to the area see what Slough really has to offer.

Slough Museum runs a number of free, fun children’s activities throughout the year. In addition we have many resources on offer all year round:

* Activity Table including pot mending
* Brass rubbing and brick bonds
* Activity Packs available to borrow during your visit
* Trails for the whole family to take you around the exhibition
* A computer for public access to our full collections database is also available in the Museum.

‘Hands On’, family activities are run on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons every school holiday. Activities are free and on a drop-in basis. Donations towards the cost of materials are welcomed.

We are also pleased to offer a range of Community & Outreach resources and services that can be booked and enjoyed in the museum or can come out to you at your meeting place.

We can theme your music in any way you choose. We can even email you a suggested playlist and you can select your music from start to finish using our library listing. The choice is yours.

We only use the best equipment with a full lighting rig - and will speak to the manager of your venue in advance of the function, although in most cases we will also visit them in person to check that our intended equipment setup is appropriate.

On the night we will always arrive at least an hour before your function is due to start in order to allow plenty of time for equipment setup and testing & we always carry backups and spares ‘just in case’!

Our Karaoke collection is fairly extensive with over 4000 tracks and all of our microphones are cordless for your comfort and safety.

You can either choose to sing using an individual 14′ monitor, or (depending on the venue) get you friends to sing along using our 6ft projection screen. The choice is yours.

We are also available for pub and club theme nights and can connect to existing AV equipment installed at the venue - providing we have the proprietor’s prior permission.

St. Paul’s Parish Church is an evangelical Anglican Church based in the heart of Slough.

About us:

As an evangelical Anglican Church, we believe in the authority of the Bible, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are an increasingly multi-ethnic congregation, reflecting the diversity within our parish. Committed to spreading God’s word in Slough, we have a vibrant church life, with many different activities for all ages. There are three services held every Sunday at St. Paul’s.

Style of Worship

The worship is led by our music group, whose contemporary worship style, (with guitar, piano, drums, flute, etc.,) complements more traditional hymns played on the organ.

The services themselves are informal, using Anglican liturgy as their foundation. St. Paul’s believes in the authority of the Bible, and talks during the services are based on Biblical texts.

What’s available for families and young people?

Children and young people are catered for during the 10.30a.m. service, with several Sunday school groups and Lazers for the 11 to 16 year olds. A crèche is also available for younger children.

On the first Sunday of each month, St. Paul’s holds a G.R.O.W. (God Rocks Our World) Service. This is aimed at families, providing an opportunity for the whole church community to worship and learn together. Also, on the third Sunday evening of each month, we hold a Youth Service, which is targeted at older children and teenagers, as well as adults.

Communion

Communion will be held at one of the services most weeks, depending on the week of the month. Details are listed in the table below.

Communion is offered to all committed Christians, regardless of denomination.

Refreshments will be served after all the services and this enables fellowship with one and other.
